2018 Colour of the Year

It's official! Violet is the Pantone Colour of the year. (I had to check the spelling of Pantone , so as not to confuse it with a haircare brand!)

Here I stamped and embossed the woman silhouette (Stampin Up) and coloured with water and Brushos in Violent and Purple. Then I stamped and embossed the silver stars (Pink Fresh) - they don't show too well in the photo , but stand out better in real-life because of the shine. Then I stamped the sentiment. (Pink Fresh).

Edited to say - Thanks Sarah for pointing out my error in saying the Brushos were 'Violent and Purple'. It was Violet of course, but I will keep the typo...

I'd like to enter:
Time Out Challenges  thankful
Shopping Our Stash  watercolour
Less is More  cas - yes, I think it sits on the cas borders - no embellishments , just two layers ...it's definitely purple.

Love this, Marina - particularly that you have used 'violent and purple', very dramatic :) The brushos background and silhouette work perfectly together!

lovely puprle panel, I thought of doing something similar with birds on a branch silhouette, then I thought purple might nog make sense, but yours is stunning

Wonderful Brush background, truly "violent" ;), love it! This says CAS for me, no worries -plenty of white space in the frames and as you said, no embellies and only two layers. Great card with mixed media, artistic look! Thanks for joining us at Less Is More and Time Out!
